Striped Fang Blenny

Picked an ORA Striped Blenny up today. Beautiful looking fish. I know all the "basic" info on them that's available. Frequent feeders, venomous fangs, can eat my sexy shrimp if not well fed, etc.

Anything else I should know about these little buggers? Wondering if they're jumpers? Any issues anyone had.

Just got one myself today! I love this fish already. It was trying to back in holes in liverock. When he didn't fit, he'd swim out and stick his head in to see why. :) I can see jumper potential, can dart to the top in a fraction of a second! Voracious appetite, but peaceful. Seems to enjoy the company of a baby blue hippo tang. They were tank mates, and I brought them both home today!

Good luck with your new friend!

The only fish that I've seen them bother were other Striped Fang Blennies that I had in the tank. Otherwise, they seem to keep to themselves.

I had mine for a couple of years and its one, if not the most peaceful fish i have ever had. It even used to let a coral goby sit on its back.
The only issue i have had so far is that for a year and a half it would only take frozen food. Then overnight it switched to flake as well.
I keep it with a couple of other blennies, a fairy wrasse, dwarf angel, chromis, clowns and recently a hawk. No compatibility problems what so ever.
I have heard it jump but thats not very often and usually as the light goes off. The biggest problem i've had is that they like holes and will disappear into thin air, so you need to be careful if you run a hang on skimmer and have to clean it for example, good job i checked as he had made a home in the uplift tube. Seemed really annoyed when i evicted him to put the strainer back on.

I bought one and it jumped within a day of purchase. I have what is normally a very peaceful 6-line wrasse who wasn't a fan of his new tank mate and this may have caused the blenny to jump. The seemed fine unless they were within 2 inches of each other.
