Striped Halloween Hermit Lifespan ?

I recently lost my favorite hermit, a striped halloween hermit, Ciliopagurus strigatus, after 8 years. Was wondering if anyone else had information on the longevity of their specimens?

We've had a halloween hermit for over 6 years now. We have upsized his shell 3 or 4 times. He started in our 75g tank, moved up to our 180g tank and made it through the holding tank month to go in the replacement 125g tank.
