Stuck at "Aqua boot mon" screen

I tried to update the firmware on my ACIII and now it appears to be stuck at the "Aqua boot mon", "Mem Test - Pass" screen. It's been like this for the entire night, so I'm pretty sure it's locked up. I tried cycling the power but no luck.

Any help?

Same thing happened to me once, I think I just reinstalled the firmware and it worked. I assume you have tried unplugging the power and plugging it back in?

Yes, I tried to unplug and plug back in. I tried installing the firmware again but I'm unable to connect to the controller via that program that updates the firmware. I get "Error at socket(): 10060"

You must use option B as described in the readme.txt to update the firmware if the main AquaController software is not running.

I tried that. I hooked a laptop directly up to the controller via Ethernet, I get a message "Assigning dynamic IP!" and it just sits there. The Controller gets some junk characters on the display and that's it. Am I doing something wrong?

I don't suppose anybody is available by phone today? I'm going on vacation later today and really need to get this working.

I cannot communicate with the AC3 even on the controller itself. I get the " Error at socket(): 10060 ". When I start the ac3loader I get this msg: " DHCP Can't bind - port already in use
Ready..." I have tried direct connection from computer to AC3 controller and through the router, option A and option B. Is there a way to reset the AC3 to default? That appears to be my only option.

FYI - i had the same problem last night and it took severl tries to get it the final try i went and unpluged everything except for power and ethernet and it took

good luck

I finally figured out my issue. For whatever reason I had to assign the laptop I was using to update the firmware a static IP address. The instructions don't mention this, so it may be a good idea to mention something about it.
