Stuff for sale, North Hills, taking down my 75

Hello all. I'm at a crossroads with work and may be moving to Harrisburg or somewhere else in the near future. I just got certified to teach k-6.

I'm taking down my tank until I re-settle, more permanently. I have been contemplating this for months and I have concluded that this is the best thing to do for me right now.

I will be selling all the livestock and likely keeping all the dry goods.

Just FYI, this stuff if only going to be posted on this forum, right here. I'm not ebaying or double posting on another board.

Should anyone be interested in the whole package, I will gladly listen to any reasonable offers. The tank is 75 gallons, drilled with 2, 1" drains. The sump is a 30 long with three sections (skimmer, fuge, and return). Skimmer is a euro reef rs80 with pf5 mod and a more effective venturi. Lights are hung from the ceiling, 4x 54 watt t5's. I also have extra parts to make it up to 54x 6. Return pump is a mag 7 but I also have a mag 5 impeller. I also have a pair (only use 1 at the moment) of high flow mjmods, and a phosban reactor.

Here's what I've got for sale now though...

1 pair of mated clarkii clowns. They've been getting it on, every few weeks, for the last two years or so. She's about 4" and he's about 3. They will be sold with their sebae anemone also. The anemone is about 16" in diameter, fully opened. They're fairly territorial, but never inflicted damage on any other fish in my tank.
$75 with anemone and it's live rock (5-10 lb piece of flat rock)

1 orbicular cardinal. He's a really cool guy. He stays at the part of the tank closest to the tv most of the time. Nice peaceful personality. He's about 3 inches long. $10

1 blue chromis. Peaceful personality. One of about 5 I started out with. He proved to be the strongest, so he's definitely hardy. $5

1 coral banded shrimp. He's fully grown. Hides most of the day. $15

I can't find a pic, but he looks pretty regular.

1 pencil urchin. About the size of a tennis ball. $5

IMG_0140.jpg

2 emerald crabs. 1 is about 2.5" wide, the other is about 2". They have been repeatedly seen munching on hair algae, never picking on fish. $10 for both

After all the abovementioned are sold, then we move to the snails and hermits. I've got roughly 5 pretty big mexican turbos, 25 astreas, and 15 hermits (red and blue leg). $25 for all.

1 large green pocillopora (i think). It grows and looks a lot like a montipora cap. Roughly 10" diameter at the widest part. This is my center piece coral. It's pretty awesome. Pic isn't fully grown (older), add about two inches in all directions $75

^I also have a frag of it that broke off a few months ago. It's about 2" by 3". $20

1 pink acropora. This thing shows decent coloration and great polyp extension, but grows pretty slowly in my setup. It's grown about an inch since the pics were taken. $25

1 green finger leather. It's about the size of a cantelope. Awesome polyp extension. Really big softy. Bigger than pictured by a few inches $50

IMG_0126.jpg

1 colony of candy canes. Has 30+ heads on it. About the size of a grapefruit. Great, nightly, polyp extension, great color, mounted on cantelope sized piece of live rock. It's nearly double the size in the pic. $50

After all that stuff is gone, I have 75-100 lbs of live rock. This price is going to be negotiable via pm or email.

I prefer email for any correspondence, but pm or post reply is fine too. My email is nkresho at yahoo.com

If anyone needs a more recent pic of a specific coral, just email me, I'll take a pic and send it to you.

I'm in West View, North Hills, near Mcknight rd.

Thanks guys and gals!

i see you have a bunch of snails... id be interested in those and the emeralds.. pm me a price and how many you may have. im also looking for macro algae if you have any (prefer chetomorpah)

I need to get rid of the fish and coral before I can sell the clean up crew. I'll definitely send you a pm when I get to that point.

Thanks

Yes, $75 includes both clowns, the anemone, and the really nice piece of rock that the anemone is attached to.

email me to coordinate a pickup time.

Depending on timing when you are ready to sell the live rock, I may be interested.

I think I am going to convert my 72g freshwater to Saltwater in the next 3 weeks and get rid of my 37g saltware tank. So I would be looking for some live rock (but not all of it)

Also may be interested in part of the cleanup crew and crabs not spoken for again- if the timing works.

PM me when you think you may be ready to move it

Also - just curious what you would be asking for your skimmer / lights if you sold them. You can PM me if you want

OK, the acro and candy cane are gone.

Just FYI, I will lower the prices a bit for combination deals. So if you're interested in more than one item, pm me and I'll give you a combined price.

Thanks again for the coral and great deals. I had to do some aquascaping to get that candy cane in there. That thing is HUGE! Every single head was ready to feed when the lights went out. I found a good place for the acro with not too much flow also.

Whenever you are ready to get back in and set a tank up again, just let me know, I owe you some frags.....:D

i'm interested in the lights, skimmer and pump....i'm setting up a 70 gallon bowfront....PLEASE let me know when it's available!!! oh and the clean up crew sounds great too

Thanks so much. I definitley will.

Hi, I live by Ross Park mall and I need to get a clean up crew for my frag tank. Let me know what crabs and snails are left.

Thanks

Could you post a picture of your sump? Is it under the 75 in the stand? I need one for my 75. Is it still available?

30 Long sump I have on my 75 now. The baffles are not optimal as far as water leveling. I recommend this sump only if you're using an auto top off. The baffles separate the skimmer from the refugium, but do not maintain a constant water level in any specific section.

20 long sump I had on my other tank. This one uses the design melev has on his site. This will keep the fuge at the same level all the time, because water has to flow over a baffle to get out.

Both tanks are less than 3 years old. Baffles are glass and attached using aquarium grade silicone.

Price update...

Large pocillopora = $50
Large leather = $35

And the buyer of either of these ^ has a choice of taking one or both remaining fish (cardinal or chromis) for free.
