Here's a partial list
Okay, so here's some info before I get started. Back a few years ago, before we were ever going to have a second kid, I had a custom built tank made to fit into a wall on top of a custom made, built-in stand. I had custom plumbing run down to the basement, and ran heavy-duty stuff to keep the whole shebang going nicely. Well, the second kid threw a big kibosh on the whole free time/maintainance thing, and eventually the tank went to crap. So I converted it to fresh water about a year ago. There's not much sense in having huge overflows, massive plumbing, UV sterilization, chillers, etc. for a community tank, so I knew that eventually I'd be letting all this stuff go. Now I'm ready to part with the tank, the system, and various components.
My preference would be to have someone with a big truck and a few strong friends come and take everything away for some insanely screamin' deal. The tank is heavy. It took 4 of us to get it up the main stairs (very wide) and on to the stand. Here's a partial list:
1. Tank: All Glass, 58Lx30Wx30H. That calcs out to about 220G. It has a few scratches on the front. It has 8x8 overflows with built-in returns (4). No stand, no canopy.
2. Sump and Refugium: The sump is made up of 2, 50Tall acrylic tanks that have been plumbed and modified with 2, 2" inlets and 1, 1.5" output. The top on one has been trimmed to accept an in-sump skimmer (a Euro Reef that I sold). Two refugiums; a 20G acrylic that's been modified, and I've got another 20G CPR refugium that was custom made.
3. Filters, UV Sterilizers, Pump: The filters are dual Pentair Lifeguard 30" cartridge filters. The UV system is a Pentair triple 36" stack (3x36watts). The pump is a Dolphin Aquasea 4700. All equipment has about 1.5-2 years of usage and works perfectly.
4. Chiller: I've got a 1/2hp Cyclone drop-in chiller, 220v. I used this for about 3 months before re-engineering my system so I wouldn't need it. It also works perfectly.
5. Lighting: I've got a few brand new HQI halide pendants. I've got a 48" PC hood with 4x96w output. A *****in T-5 hood, 36" wide, 6x39w bulbs.
5. Misc: I've got a 3/4" Sea Swirl unit, an Aquanetics inline, 1000w, 220v heater that needs a thermostat, a few lightly used, or new circulation pumps.
All of this was plumbed using Hayward true-union ball valves, that will be included.
You'll need a few hours and a bunch of drop cloths, towels, and paint buckets to move all the gravel, rocks, etc. from the tank and haul it away. I'll be using my few buckets to take the fish to Albany Aquarium -- unless you want those too. I have some photos if you're interested, and we can discuss a price off-line depending on how much of the equipment you want or are willing to take. Again, a lot of this stuff is brand new or almost new, and this is thousands of dollars worth of stuff. Shoot me an email or message, and let me know what you think.
Thanks for reading this.
