so simple yet so small, its plastic and an air stone, so your paying 10 for materials and $40 for the 2 leds,

a stupid simple scrubber is the one you make yourself from a trip to lowes/homedepot

But yes link dont work, i just saw monica and HOGhangonglass.

You are both right and wrong. Link works on the computer but not my iPad. 1 led is used. It's a simple compact design that we could easily replicate.

The forum is literally changing the link on me? Really pi$$!ing me off. No matter what I enter the damn link changes

reefcentral.com / forums / showthread.php?2013-SantaMonica-s-HOG-5

ok go to algae scrubber.net - upflow algae scrubber - santamonica

Link worked for me. That's the same one Lafishguy used on one of his customer's tanks. The two LED's are red.

I'm thinking about making a bigger one using acrylic. Hob style(sump). Acrylic is easy to work with. A dremmel and acrylic cement is all you need. Basically a thin box with a bubbler in the bottom and a screen. Ill have to look for a 6500k led.

Waaaay to small

I like the box route.. Mirror 2 adjacent sides, place your light in the opposite corner, make a simple frame for the screen that fits diagonal and wallah! ....measuring sump now.

Jeffy's wife, "Thanks for another reef project, Josh"!!!
