Stylophora vs Birdnest

can someone tell me the difference between a Stylophora and a Birdnsest? most of the time birdsnest has pointy branches while Stylophora are more rounded. every now and then i see pics where they are very similar.

is this a birdsnest or stylophora?

Well from what I can tell you, Birdsnest is only a common name used to describe Seriatopora and Stylophora. Im no good on ID's.

Looks like a common Neon Green Seriatopora (Birdnest) to me. The rounded tips are throwing me off too.

i did just pick up a small Ponape Birdsnest frag today, it just seems to be more slender, idk

from what i've heard, stylo has thicker branches with rounded ends and birdsnest has thinner branches with pointy tips. yours would be stylo i believe.

I know what you're referring to, The ORA Green Birdsnest. Google ORA Green Birdsnest and Stylopora and they look very similar.

This looks like what is sold as a green apple birdsnest to me... Stylos usually have thicker branches and more polyps.
