I put 1" styrofoam under my acrylic tank. Many people said you don't have too....

I didnt put it under my glass tank. Mine has a pvc bottom though.

I put it under my 160 gallon acrylic, and I know thor23766 put it under his 450 gallon acrylic.

home depot sells pink or blue colored roofing foam.

I own a custom acrylic aquarium shop and its simple, no foam underneath the tank, no warranty. So put it under there, only cost about $15
