successful clam keeping with T5 lighting

I owned 6 clams in my 125gal with 4 x 80 watt t5ho (Giesemann fixture with ATI tubes) for more than 2 years with succes. I have 2 crocea and 1 maxima who are on the top of my landscape and 2 squamosa and one derasa, on the bottom of my 24'' tank. All doing really fine and have an excellent growth rate. (derasa and squamosa have double in size and crocea and maxima took several cm all around their shell since I have it).

I have 5 clams in my tank, 2 of which are on the bottom including a 14" squamose. I run (14) 39 watt T5's above a 30" deep tank. No problems at all.

I have 8 clams...4 crocea, 2 derasa and 2 maxima. 6' tank with two 36" tek 6 bulbs. Lights are 4" of the surface and the clams are mostly near the bottom of the tank(20" deep)

i had maximas and croceas under T5s for 2 years on the sandbed of my 75 with no problem at all.

How many watts did you have on it?

I have five small Maxima's all in the sand bed 25" below the water surface. My 10X54 ATI fixture is 12" above the water surface I have no problems what so ever.
