I picked up a Nem today and its has red/pink tips on it and base is white, and a deep rich purple foot.
I believe its a ritteri, But dunno as i am not a nem id expert.
Its a really nice nem, and very happy to have it no matter what it is, But have you guys/gals heard of a red ritteri?
I'll post up pics when its open. Right now its moving around and closed up pretty good. It def prefferes the sand as it moved off the rock i set it on at the bottom of the tank.

Heres a poor pic, I'll get a better one once it settles in.

Yeah it def needs to regain some color! Its a bad pic the white looks like it will turn neon green, and the tentacles will have red tips. Its not sticky or anything so i knoe he is stressed out. My tank is mature enough for him so i hope he likes it here.
He is pretty large i would say 8-9 inches in diameter now, Might get a little bigger.

im certain youre going to find that anemone turning into a purple footed bubble tip anemone...hopefully it reinflates for you...

Its inflating, Its pretty large. I didnt think BTA's had a purple foot.
Also it folds like up like a carpet and ritteri does.
It could be a BTA for all i know, I had a RBTA for 4 years and this one does not act like my other RBTA. This would not be the first time i bought something thinking it was something else. No matter what this nem will have a home.
Thank you for your imput its appreciated!!

Its these bumps that lead me to believe yours is a magnifica, but I'm certainly no expert. You can see them in Minh's photo too.

The bubs you see are just anemone not fully inflated. The shape of the bubble tips give it away. Magnifica have bubble at the tip while BTA have bubbles near the tip but not the tip

Well the mouth is closed up tight and its still moving around to find a spot.
It looks to be still expanding. For the amt of tentacles it has, and if its a rbta it will be a huge sucker. No other rbta i have seen had as many tentacles.
Thanks all i will indeed try to get this guy healthy again.
My clowns will be happy when they find him.

well i demand you get this thing healthy to convince me :)

Thanks, I am with you. My GUT says ritteri as its alot different than my long time rbta i have had, But i can see the points people have made made that it could be a rbta.
What makes me think its not a rbta?

The folds in it, My last rbta did not do this.

The ball that it go's into like all the other ritteri i have seen. (My rbta never did that it would only deflate and look like it was deflated.

The oral disk looks more like a ritteri to me than the rbta.

The amt of tentacles on the thing, Theres more in one inch than my last rbta had on its whole body.

And the foot like you said its looks like a ritteri's foot, and it is huge. IMO

Again i am no expert, I could very well have a BTA.
Just odd that does not act like my old one/s

BTA have short white stripes radiated from the mouth. BTA also usually do not have mouth looks like nipple when close. They can be big, and they can have various color column like Magnifica. They do have smooth column without minor spots although Magnifica may not have any spots especially when they are not healthy. The shape of the tentacles, especially where the bubble, is as I described in the earlier post.
Overall from what I see, I am fairly certain that it is a BTA. Picture of the mouth and in a few weeks or months we will know for sure.

Thanks for the info it is appreciated. Its still moving around it looks like its going to the top of the rockwork for more light.

That color of bta has more magnificaish characteristics than other BTAs especially after shipping. Here are pics of two of them
