I'd like to ask suggestions about which skimmer to pick for my system.
It's running with Tunze 9015 but it seems I need to upgrade it since I'm moving towards SPS and I started noticing small spots of HA in the LRs.
I'd like to maintain in Re-Circulation models because it appears to be the most energy efficient once electricity is VERY expensive in Brazil instead of the HSA which requires a very strong pump.
Currently this is my setup.
Display 40x34x24" 190g net
Sump + ref 80 net
200 pounds of LR
DSB about 3 to 4"
NO3, NO2, PO4 non detactable w/ Non Professional tests (Red Sea)
AM 0
CA 450
Mg 1250
Alk 3,2 mEq/l or 9KH
PH 8,15/8,30 ( night/day)
Temp 77/80
Flow 1500GPH between display and sump
Running Phosban media, Charcoal and Silicate remover 30 days/m
RO/DI with 0 TDS
Medium bio load. 3x 3"tangs, 4xOcellaris, 1 Mandarin, 1 SixLine Wrasse 4x Shrimps, Cleanner crew and 3 Softs, 3 small LPS and 14 small frags of SPS.
Any suggestions on skimmers?
Should I replace for more powerfull one replacing the actual 9015 or add another Tunze 9015? The new Tunze models are way to large to fit in my sump.
