I recently purchased a finnex titanium heater off of ebay. I've only had it a month and I now have current in my tank. What is a better titanium heater out there. What is everyone else using? Thanks in advance
my son unplugged the heater and the current went away. I'm in Indiana on a installation until next month so I guess i'll have to do some searching when I get home.
I think I figured out what the problem is. The heater is plugged into recepticle #5 and my korillas are plugged into recepticle #1. The extension cord for the korillas had gotten salt creep on it and burned one of the plugs. I cleaned it and it still worked so I never replaced it. I'm thinking that i'm getting the voltage from this extension cord.My reasoning behind this is I think that recepticale 1 and 5 may share the some of the same wiring and it maybe back feeding? I could be wrong. Just trying to think of an answer and a solution 530 miles away from home. I had my wife switch out the extension cord last night so after I talk with her today maybe i'll have an answer.
I've never had any current problems with anyone of the six or eight I've owned. Now if I could stop accidentally snagging the cords and pulling them out of the water i'd be good to go.
Oh, as an after thought I have 3 finnex controllers (two styles) and they are screwy. I switched to ranco's years ago. I was getting stray current with the finned controllers.
