Suggestions on taming an agressive tang

I have a desjardini and two yellow tangs that were all added at the same time. The two yellows are each 3" and the desjardini 4". All were peaceful for about a week and then one yellow started harassing the other yellow and nicked the tail and dorsal. I've since removed the bully, but was wondering how he can be reintroduced?

I was thinking a few days in timeout and then in a fish trap a few days inside the display tank. Thoughts, suggestions?

2 Similar tangs and that is the usual outcome. Having an odd number works better. IME the Desjardini are independent fish. Yellows are schoolers. If you had more yellows then the aggression seems to go away. But that also depends on the size tank you have.

I like smaller tangs. 3" are pretty good size. So adding more to a 110g tank would be frowned upon by most people.

If you want to keep groups looking into more juvenile fish.

You need a larger tank for all those tang to get along specially now that they are maturing. In the wild they are very aggressive towards each other but they have room to escape. Some will say used a mirror, take them out for a while so it becomes the new guy but its a temporary fixed. I learn that even after you reintroduce them the aggressiveness will return.

Looks like I'll be trading him in. I'll use the credit towards a filefish as aiptasia is starting to get out of hand.
