Suggestions to keep a wandering clam still.

I've discussed this in another thread but wanted to dedicate one thread for this to see if I can find some additional suggestions. My clam keeps jumping off the rock I've been placing it on. I want it to stay there and need some suggestions on keeping it in place. Thoughts? Some folks suggested some rocks to 'cup' the shell and hold it in place and there were one or two more suggestions. Does anyone have some ideas?

Well,
I always place my clams on the sandbed ontop of an oyster shell and let them attach.
Then I can place them wherever.

But really, if the clam keeps moving he is not happy with that spot.
Be it lighting, flow, or what not, the clam doesn't want to be there.
