The WTMRAC meet this past Saturday at the Blundon home. There were five in attendance. The topic of LED fixtures and the recent marketing of less expensive but high quality LED fixtures was discussed briefly. Most of the discussion, however, centered around the continued downward spiral of club interest and support, both for regular club activities and for the frag swap. At last month's meeting, club members voted to postpone any decision on disbanding the club until this month, with the hopes that members would rally support. Since such a show of support was not realized, club members in attendance unanimously voted to disband WTMRAC and cancel any future plans to hold a frag swap. As per the club by-laws, we also voted to transfer all remaining club funds to a local non-profit charity organization.
The Reef Central WTMRAC forum will still be available as a means of communication to all of those interested in using it. Frank and Andy of Four Winds Aquatics have indicated that they are quite happy to continue their offer of a 10% store discount (livestock and dry goods) to all club members with membership cards, until the expiration date indicated on the card.
The Jackson Area Reef Club has extended a welcome to WTMRAC members to attend their meetings, and several of us expressed an interest in going to their meetings. You can keep up with their meeting announcements on their club forum found at:

I have been a member of WTMRAC since 2005, and in those years I have met and worked with a lot of great people, learned quite a bit about our hobby from other club members, have introduced the hobby to many, and have helped quite a few learn as well. I am sad to see the club disband, but as we discussed at Saturday's meeting, any organization must have active support from all its members in order to thrive and be successful. Still, I am glad to have been a part of the club for as long as I have!
For club members with any further questions, please send all questions to me at wtmrac@gmail.com.
Happy Reefing all!
