I have gone to the carbon tube, TBPC carbon, and Right Now Bacteria system to control my nitrates. It is working fine but the evolution has resulted in a plumbing mess ( flexible tubing looming out from behind the tank, buckets on stacked wood for the Mag 7 that leaks, etc.) in a room that is supposed to be a guest bedroom/computer room. So I am going to add a sump next to the aquarium and enclose it in some oak cabinetry. Melsreef has been a great site and source of design ideas. I am not sure how how, relative to my other baffles, high to make the final baffle before the return pump. Thanks for any suggestions
