Science and Honor!
ok so i have a few problems i finally setup my 46 bowfront water and sand have my powerhead running and i have a hangon overflow box but my problems are...the drainhose that runs from the overflow to the sump is leaking a little bit which within a few hours can become a puddle and very unnecessary cleanup as well as my return line from sump to tank i have a 3/4 inch i believe it is hose that connects to my rio 1700 and onto the attachment that hangs into the tank. so i have those two areas slightly leaking has anyone had this problem before? and what is a safe sealent or whats the best way to go without polutting the water?

Yes I use hose clamps on all fittings not under water. Also I use pipe tape on all my threads. If it is a barbed fitting a clamp is your best bet

ok i forgot to put 1 hose clamp on my fitting from my return pump to my tank thats not under water but the problem is the bulkhead from the overflow to the drain line idk how to get a clamp shud i just use a metal clamp from HD? or like auto zone

yes a metal clamp is fine if its not in the water....in an emergency I have used them under water while I get a plastic one ordered.....
