Sump feedback

Im a newbie that has done a great deal of thread reading. Got the 75 drilled, pump and skimmer arriving, and working on the sump. Could I get some feedback on what you reef veterans think of this set-up. I have the 30 breeder, and will be doing the baffle placement myself.

Just beware of overflow into the return pump chamber so you don't get bubbles. Blaffle it right, look at my sump, if I keep enough water height in the return I don't get bubbles.

Sorry bout all the post. Trying to get a picture up. For viewing its in my gallery. Hope you can give me some feedback. Im a true newbie. Even with the picture thing.

Thanks for the link. He has lots of different styles and configurations. Was wondering if all 3 down baffles should be the same height or should the first baffle (closest to the sump) be higher?

The first baffle(from left to right) should be the height which is best for your skimmer's performance. You should find this out before assembling the sump.

Thanks. Havnt put that baffle in yet. Should be getting the skimmer in a few days. I read melev's recommendation on the deeper the water the better for the skimmer. I also read what you have said. Its a bit confusing, but the majority of threads have agreed with your statement of keeping it where euroreef recommends. What is the "usual" depth of skimmer water?

That is an option. I believe the RS135 is actually 24'' tall with an 6'' body. Compared to the RS80 which is 22'' high and a 5'' body.

I'm not sure if the specs between the 2 skimmers is different so I'd wait to read the manual or email where you ordered it from.

Thanks. Bought the skimmer used. The seller gave me the dimensions, but wasnt quiet sure what model it was. The skimmer is 2 years old.
