Who has there sumps in there basement I have mine there but not sure its the best it could be looking for ideas pisc would help thanks.

I have an oceanic 150 gallon tank as my sump in the basement. It is seperated by baffles into three sections. First section is where the water enters from upstairs, and that section also has my protein skimmer. Then water flows into the fuge which is about half of the tank. water then flows through baffles to the return section where i have my reactors, ATO system and heaters. Water then flows into the return pump and is split into two lines. one goes back to the display and the other pushes water into my frag tank, which then drains back into the fuge. I am out of the country for a few weeks, but I will try to get you a picture when I get home. Hope this helps a little.

Putting the finishing touches on my basement sump right now. Its a 90g custom acrylic. It has approx 19' of vertical fall, 13' of horizontal, and 7 90's. My tank is on the 2nd floor of my house in my office. Plumbing is in the walls and i am about to cover it up. I'll try and get some pics up.

FWIW I put it in my basement b/c of the extra space that provides me to operate.

Thanks for pics looking for some ideas to help change my setup what blueline do you have and what size setup do you have.

If I remember correctly the pump is actually a panworld 200. (panworld and blue line are the same thing) its 1 smaller than the biggest. they are not the most quite pumps, but they are reliable. I have had that pump over 7yrs and never had a hiccup. I

I have a 160g display upstairs, plus the 30g frag, and about 30g in the sump.

You can check out my build thread to see progress pics of the display. It just got lights christmas eve.
