Sump for new 65g

I'm in the process of setting up a 65g and I need to determine what size sump to put on it. I originally wanted to do a 20g long but I don't think I'll have enough room underneath my canopy to pull it off. Is a 15g sump too small or should I scrap the idea of using a glass aquarium for a sump and have a custom acrylic sump made?

I Baught a Berlin Sump (Premade Acrylic) and I have been Verry Happy With it! Great sump with a huge skimmer chamber. I got a 150 Series to fit an ASM G3 Skimmer. Great size too. Compact for what it does.

I have a 20 gal high under my 65 gal tank. I wish I had gone even bigger so I could have an in sump skimmer. Use the largest you can fit.

Marino - how is your sump configured that you can't fit a skimmer in it? I am going with a 20H under my 65 and think I'll have plenty of space for a CSS125. I am going fugeless though.

so a 20H fits under the AGA 65g stand? i am also looking for sump ideas for mine...how much space is left w/ the 20H in there? need room for my external skimmer, topoff, calc reactor

The stand I'm building has interior dimensions of 29 wide, 31 3/4 high and 21 deep. Just barely too small for a 30gal I think but I'd rather have the room. You can see the frame is barely wider than the 65AGA.

I'll take the 20H and divide it in half, leaving 10x12 for the CSS125, then baffles and the other 10x12 for heaters and return pump.

very nice woodworking skills...i have to measure the outlet of my deltec skimmer when i get home...i have to make sure the sump isnt higher than the outlet of the skimmer...i might have to go w/ the 15g standard....i am just concerned w/ having the space for my other external equipment...i just need two chambers w/ baffles...

Thanks Jer-Z. The hood is complete and all the interiors are sealed and painted white. I hope to get the stand moldings done this weekend so I can move on to the doors and updating my gallery.
