Sump Help

I seem to have a problem with room in my small sump.
I'm trying to accomodate with what room I have, so I've noticed if I stick the tunze nano 9002 right above the Eheim pump there is about 3cm from eachother touching & I can hide the cords a little.

Now, I was considering putting up a 6" acrylic wall around the pump so that I can stick live sand around it with possibly some Chaeto.

My question is, would this be sufficient for filtering?
I have been reading on melevesreef.com about setting up baffles in between the skimmer and pump but I just don't see how it would make much difference with such little room to work with?

my sumps dimensions are 15"Lx12"Wx14"H

You will have massive micro bubbles. The baffles are what reduce or eliminate these. That pump could be used in a closed loop which would remove it from the sump helping with temp. and micro bubbles.

type closed loop in a search engine or look in DIY for better success as i havent set one up but will be.

WOOHHH!! I don't think that's what I have in mind, looks like way too much for little cubby. I don't want anything to show, let me try to make a short video of what my tank looks like.

One Minute.
