Sump Light- DIY?

So my coralife light that I've been using over my sump/fuge bit the dust today. I think I'd rather go to a DIY sump light as opposed to spending $ on another light with expensive bulbs.

It's over about 1/2 of a 20 gallon long sump, what would you guys suggest?
I want something that will get some decent growth out of the cheato but the least wattage/power used the better - and I want something that will be safe to leave during the day and not worry about it overheating. I know some of you use fixtures and lights from Home Depot or Lowes.

Any suggestions or anyone got anything lying around for cheap?

Thanks

Power compact spotlight bulb you can get at lowes. Try and find the daylight version with the 6500k color. that and a cheap ceramic socket works great. No reflector nessessary and very little heat.
