Sump Macroalgae when?

I see many sumps with the macroalgea ...

1. where do you get it
2. how much for a 40 gal sump
3. L/R also?
4. 3 weeks into 110 gal cycle

I have Protein Skimmer and about 80 lbs LF in the tank
Small Clean up crew added over the last few days,
1 turbo snail, and a giant hermit crab.

Move to the New to the Hobby forum as more a propos here.

1. There are many online vendors and individual reefkeepers who sell macroalgae for refugia. I got mine from a local person at a club meeting.

2. A small amount is fine for starters since a good sump alga will grow very rapidly.

3. I wouldn't bother, in general.
