Sump Plan Opinions

1/16 space is fine. Just make sure the silicone fills the gap.

If I'm understanding you correctly, with 17 9/16" from pane to pane...would you suggest getting the glass cut at 17 7/16" to allow 1/16" (on each side) wiggle room for placement and silicone?

I was just headed in to this thread to ask, so funny you guys were already talking about it.
