Sump plumbing help

So I'm starting my first tank with a sump and looking to do the plumbing. Tank is already drilled to fit a 1.5" bulkhead and a 1" bulkhead so I'm using the 1.5" as the intake and the 1" as the return.

It had bulkheads on it but I purchased new ones to replace them so now I'm wondering how to hook it all up.

I bought a 1.5" thread/thread bulkhead so I'm assuming I need 1.5" PVC and to connect to the threaded bulkhead I will need a 1.5" MIPT adapter on the inside and a 1.5" FIPT adapter on the outside correct?

No.. 1.5" male threads screw into each side of a thread/thread bulkhead..
The outer thread on the non-flange side is only for the nut to tighten the bulkhead in place

Ah okay so I need 2 MIPT adapters for the bulkhead, otherwise everything else I said is correct?
