Sump problem

I have a sump problem that i just cant figure out. Nothing has been changed with the tank or sump configuration in over a year and this problem started a week ago. The sump is setup with 3 sections........ Input from 75rr with skimmer in this section then a baffle to section with a DSB, LR and macro to another baffle to the return via mag5.......... now the problem.............................

I evaporate about a gallon a day and add topoff manually at night. My evaporation has always been noticed in thr return section of the sump(like it should) but now all the sudden my input section is the one that shows the evaporation and ends up exposing my skimmer pump and getting below my baffle to stop all flow from sump. I have checked lines for clogs, cleaned the return pump and all and it is still doing it and has me puzzled as to why. Any thoughts????

As water seeks it's own level...could there be a leak toward the bottom of your baffles allowing it to drop? Thats where I would start.

I would think it would have to be a baffle leak, as the pump and such should not affect which area drains first as long as water is coming in.

Odd

Baffle leak. When I put my own sump together I forgot to glue one of the baffles on the bottom and I had the same problem. If you can, drain the sump and fill one section at the time until you find the leak. If it is glass and silicone then it might be a bit of a pain to fix but it can be done. If it is plexy then bring that thing over to my house and I'll fix it in about 5 minutes.

Yeah I'm going to have to go with baffle leak too. is the level the same as the return side, or is it getting lower than that?

Do you have any pics?

input side gets lower than the return side. But i think i might of figured out what it is. my skimmers output dumps into the center section on the cheato and i have noticed alot more flow from the skimmer pump for some reason. Wierd though cause i havent changed a thing or even the skimmers adjustment!
