For inside my fuge, what is the best size of dry rock rubble in the sump for growing pods or brine shrimp.? I have golf ball size rubble now.

The golf ball size pieces are fine, but don't add too much rock though. You don't want detritus to find refuge down there as well. Me personally, I would just use a couple baseball size pieces and call it a day. (along with the chaeto) This would make it a lot easier to keep that compartment clean and the micro fauna should proliferate as well. GL.

Yeah you really don't need a lot, and add chaeto and give pods a dark period, I do a reverse light cycle which also helps stabilize PH.
Shop vac's are a great bottom cleaning tool, HD sells one they call a bucket head, fits right on a 5 bucket, makes super easy, it's like $20
