Sump ?s

OK, I have decided I want to take down my 20L frag tank and use it as a sump for my 46. The problem is I have no experiance using a sump and my tank is not RR. I know I need a HOB overflow but how do they work and what kind of pump do I need for one. I have a mag7 can I use that? Does anyone have a HOB overflow for sale or trade?

If you are going to go with a HOB overflow, go with the U tube design. I have heard very little problems with these compared to the CPR design. Mag 7 should work if fine.

Look up aquarium over flow box on Ebay. They have a couple but they are all 600 gph, you would have to turn the pump back a little. They are the U tube design, But don't know how good they are..

Like Lonnie said I have only heard good remarks about Lifereef. Don't use the CPR. First little tank I had years ago used one and as the stories go it lost syphon and messed up some wood floors at an old house.
