After the frag swap I was talking to the sump winner in the parking lot and we were discussing trading the sump for the Kalk Reactor I won. I need a sump more than I need the reactor so if you still want to trade contact me. 440-878-1289
Thanks

Sorry, I work at a small R&D facility, not hiring anyone now.
I should have traded the reactor in the parking lot when I had chance, Oh Well. I'll set it up now, it should help keep my Alkalinity up as well as calcium levels. I guess I need a digital timer and a dosing pump to get it going. I have a medical doser I got off e-bay but the stupid alarm always go off (drives me crazy).
Anyone know where I can get a CHEAP dosing pump?

What brand and model medical doser do you have? I can show you how to disable that drip alarm on the kangaroo pumps.

Thanks for the link. Now I have to figure out wich pump to order. If my tank evaporates 1 &1 /2 gal. a day, how many ml/min is that? Anyone have a conversion table?

I have 2 different ones. I think one doser is a Nestle, not sure what the other one is, they're in my basement. I'll take look when I get home from work tonight and let you know. I appreciate the help. They're nice because you set the drip rate to anything you want, but I kept getting all kinds of different alarms. My dog would go absolutely crazy when it started beeping. It would stare at floor for hours thinking something was in the carpet.

One gallon is 3 785.411 784 milliliter (3785 ml)
One gallon per day loss is 2.62 ml per min.
Check it but I think it's right.

I pulled out my old medical dosers from the basement and plugged them in to see if they still worked. I have a Nestle and a Compat. The Compat alarms out in about 2 minutes every time. The readout says frE flow when in alarms out. Anyone know what that means? The old Nestle seems to be working, I set it up and ran it over night with no problems. There had to be something wrong with it before or I would"t have got a another one but it seems to be OK now. Maybe it just needed to sit in the basement for a couple of years? Anyway, if anyone knows what the alarm on the Compat means or how to disable it please let me know. All I need now is a digital timer to stir the Kalk. Any good ones out there? I've read to have it be stirred for 30-60 seconds every 6 hours. Does that sound right?
