Sump

I was looking into making a sump for my 120 tank. I have 20"L x 18"D x 20"T to work with. I am trying to work up some plans so I can make the darn thing without spending mega $$ as there is plenty to buy for 200-300 bucks but I don't want to spend that kind of money right now. Any suggestions???

when I had a large tank in JKC I used two rubbermaids hooked together. I made PVC frames to help stop the bowing effect. the biggest expenses where the four bulkheads to join the two rubbermaids together and the silicon to silicon like crazy around them to make sure they did not have any leaks. 8 months of usage =0 leaks..... guy I sold them to used them for a long while and last I heard he gave them to someone else to use....

all you'd need is a few peices of scrap acrylic and some aquarium silicone. You could probably get away with a nice sump for 25-30 bucks

I have made them from 10-20 gallon tanks. I have always had glass cut and siliconed them together. Like Jason is saying, less then $30 bucks should get you all you need.
