Sun Coral Display Tank

Wow you got a sun coral fiesta going on there!! :) lol. That's a lot of them but very beautiful for sure!! Those are one of my favorite corals just cuz the colors are so vibrant and stunning! Great looking tank! :)

I am glad there are some that enjoy the sun corals.
Now I am trying to get some more interesting dendros and rhizos. There are 9 rhizos and a few black and greenish branching sun corals so far.

The tank is AkvaStabil: 160x55x45cm which gives about 550l.
The sump is very simple, does not have any dividers. There is some of the live rock there, and the earlier mentioned filters. I will take a few pfotos of it later this week when I tidy it up a bit. The tank may be clean but the sum is just the opposite:lol:

I have managed to take a few snaps of fish today. I have to practice a bit more as the fish keep disappearing when I try to take a picture of them...

Many thanks :)

Have you thought about producing your own food? Perhaps various seafood that's been diced up? Certainly 40 cubes a day of mysis/brine is not overly cheap?

Would the sun corals be happy with that?

The yellow and blue colors in your tank is a awesome combo. It really makes everything stand out. I think it's cool.

Man, how much does that cost a day to feed? Isn't 40 cubes around $6? That's over 2K a year just for food!

Lots of others have said it But that is a beautiful tank. Sun corals were my first coral I owned cause I did not have good lighting.

+2 on the ToTM nomination.

I was beginning to think I'd seen everything in this hobby.

Congrats on thinking out of the box. That is truly a unique and stunning tank.

WOW, those are some really nice corals! Where did you get them from? I love those yellow zoanthids (at least I think they are zoanthids lol) and id like to add some to my tank.

I feed the tank daily with 10 cubes of frozen mysis and 30 cubes of brine. There are 9 Rhizos which get a small piece of lance fish each twice a week...
that is more than i eat a day! also what is the blue that i see in the middle?
