Sunbrite F Series LED light fixture

Very few reviews or actual user experiences on the web, from my research. I am concerned that the units they still have in stock will still have the issues outlined in this thread. The black Friday deal was removed from Reef Builders website, so I'm not 100% sure if it is still going on.

Can anyone else chime in? Maybe one of the Sunbrite reps?

What I was told was that the v2 has added optics and that it has less spread than the v1s.. V1s might be the way to go if you want more spread

I was told "slightly less spread" but still more than enough to cover a 2 ft wide tank...also the par has doubled because of the optics and better for taller tanks

Tagging in, I am interested in the specs from the new light. I can't understand why this light hasn't garnered more popularity. Their marketing and website development team needs to step up the game. The fixture is actually being sold, yet exact specs are nowhere to be found. Ramp it up folks, the feature set on this thing is great and they seem to be using quality LEDs with a sleek looking fixture.

I just received my F2 yesterday. Sunbrite's marketing is a bit poor to be polite. I have contacted SunBrite with some of questions asked here in past couple of days. When I asked a couple of weeks ago they still had some F1s in stock. It sounded to me like they will not carry the F1 Series any longer once they are gone. The pricing for the F2 is the same as the F1 for right now, but they may increase it later. Check out Aquarium Specialty for pricing. I bought it from them because of free shipping and no tax! Check out the articles on Reefbuilder which contradicts some of what I am saying, but that's because SunBrite had changed direction slightly. The LEDs are in modules so you will be able to replace the module when you LEDs are done unlike other Chinese LEDs. My fixture had a couple of very minor blemishes when it arrived, but nothing that I felt was worth an email. It will likely be a few weeks before it goes over the reef to replace my T5s. I hoped I helped.

That's good news if they are in modules. I believe the F1s were too. My local supplier is offering discounts on the F1 series to get rid of them as they are expecting the F2s soon. The Canadian distributor hasn't even gotten a shipment yet, they are still in a holding pattern. The feeling seems to be that the demand is outstripping the supply and the company is having a hard time keeping up. Looking forward to some pictures to see the differences from the F1.

Got my Fseries V2 last Friday !
