Hey these are the little buggers I've got !! They are multiplying faster than I can pull them out! I've given up now. I submitted a thread also thinking these might be sundials. My zoos do not look affected eventhough I do see them all over the tank and around the colonies. At night, they are visable all throughout my tank. With the lights on, they hide in the live rock. Is there any way to get rid of these without hurting my corals? I would hate to have my tank infested with them even if they may be harmless..

I actually took some down to the lps and showed him some of these and its funny he actually had the same snails all over a couple of his tanks. I cant remember what he called them but he said they are harmless. The reason i got this thread goin was because my zoas are melting away all the ssudden and i thought they are the reason. It sucks cause every time i come home from work they are less and less and at this rate i will have one less orange colony before too long. I need to figure out what is going on. Funny thing is none of my other colonys are dissapearing just these.

Check at night time with a red light or flashlight with redfilm... you might have tons of large ampipods swarming/eating your zoo's at night..... check it an hour or so after the lights have turned off.... your not going to believe your eyes.

Funny you said that cause this morning when i left for work (at 5 in the morning) I looked in the tank and thats exactly what I saw.

So now the question is what eats them type of pods?

I guess i dont know how to get it to wrk right. The link i got from the thread that is named Help id this shrimp is it a zoa eater? It was posted by Albie611 bout half way down the page.

Collinista snails i have no clue i cant remember what he called them. Why you got some that look like that in your tank too?
