Sunlight T5 fixture problem

I have the 8 bulb fixture pluged into a "groundfault interupter" as per the directions from sunlight. Every other day or so - it goes out. How can I tell if the fixture is not working right, or if my "groundfault" device is not right, or if my circut is not right.

(I have the 48" unit).

Does your GFI have a button you have to reset when the light goes off? If so, you have 1 of 3 problems.The GFI could be bad. Try the light without it. #2. The GFI could be under rated for your light. Do you have literature on it? or try some other appliance of similar wattage. #3 The light could be bad, possibly the ballast going out. Does the ballast get really Hot? Hope this helps.
