Sunlit Bowl

Very cool build! I'd have said the tank would be amazing with Acro crabs and a bunch of sexy shrimp. I suppose it still might be!

Sexy shrimp aren't on our import list unfortunately, I would love some though. Got pocci crabs a plenty in the display!
Not sure what I want to do with the fuge, I want maximum pod production. Different macros, perhaps a gsp/Xenia mat, I guess they'd consume some pods though..would either spread to the display?
Almost there

I like how you need to think if you think you have seen it all in The Hobby and then it continues to excite you :-)

Cheers guys, it definitely brought the fun back to the hobby for me. Really enjoying this one and letting it run itself without fiddling around!
Got the LEDs up, holy blue

This is awesome. Would you be able to do some full system shots? I would like to see how it looks as a whole system in a room.

Cheers and sure, I'll add a bunch.

Mind the wires for the LEDs, really need to do something about them as well as under the stand. Extremely space limited under there, it's a mess.

Might have to DIY a recirc skimmer. The way I have the sump the whole chamber is the last so as the level changes the skimmer drops off a bit.

Very cool, thanks for sharing the pics! How are the RapidLED LEDs working out? You barely see them, except for under the bowl. Any top down shots as close to the solatube as possible? (sorry, but it looks awesome and I really want to take the view in!).

They're really nice during morning and evening but get washed out during the day. I'm only running them at just under 1watt each so that could also be why. Will slowly ramp it up and keep an eye on the heatsink temperatures, they're so small I'm worried to go over 1.5watts at most each led.
Sorry it's been so long, here you go:

This is how

My mistake, I installed a fuge and didn't compensate for the extra water level. The inevitable happened over a 3 day weekend that we decided to go away.. the power cut, water flooded down and dripped on the temp controller/heater and tripped the fuse.

Think it might now be an anemone/macroalgae tank
