The SUNPOD came in today and wow, what a difference.

This is a 20" Sunpod, 1x150w 14k HQI 12-lunar lights

I'm using the same camera here: Before the SUNPOD without the flash:

After the SUNPOD without the flash: (Note: it's not nearly this blue, it's more purple but the camera isn't picking it up very well. To me, it looks very purple, almost as purple as the coralline algae.

your gonna love that lighting set up! I have the 24" same unit, and WOW, its a great fixture!

Clam met his maker.

Those pyramid snails were terrible. I didn't know what they were at first so I wasn't quick enough to pick them off when they first showed up. They had gotten deep into his shell and I had a hell of a time getting them all out because I'd go after them but he'd close up his shell naturally. A couple days before he died, I noticed them and got them out, but it was too late

I know he would have enjoyed the new lighting also. Apparently those snails just show up w/ clams and your only defense against them is to find them and get them out before they can do any damage. It really sucks. Circle of life I guess.
