Sunrise/sunset with Chinese led?

I was just wondering if there is a way to make the chinese led lights simulate sunrise/sunset. Thinking of trying this light...http://www.amazon.com/AQUAMANA-LED-...8&qid=1442321006&sr=8-1&keywords=aquamana+led. It looks like to me on this unit you can only manually dim the lights, not create it to sunrise/sunset automatically. I currently dont have an Apex or similar controller so can't do it that way. Was wondering if there was an addon board or timer switch to control it? Thanks for any information.

Or you can buy Chinese leds that already have built-in controllers that do sunrise/sunset/moonlights. I have used a pair of EverGrow IT2080 fixtures (same as OceanRevive IT2081 and ReefBreeders Photon 32) since Dec 2012 and they have run 24/7/365 with zero issues.

I have been using the Ocean Revive IT2081 for about a month now and am very happy with them. My corals, while still small frags, have great color and polyp extension.

Ok so I've decided to go with new Chinese lights and they have 2 power plug ins. One for the blues(moonlight) and the other plug in for the other colors. I'm trying to get a power strip to power the unit as such...blue side stay on from 8 to 6 and the color side 9 to 5. This would kind of simulate sunrise, sunset. I would like to use one power strip but looks to me like I might need 2 because 1 strip only allows 1 on time and 1 off time. Am I correct?

I beleive you can use the blue outlets as 1 and the yellow as a seperate timer on the digital unit. So you would plug the blue lights in the blue outlets and the white lights on the yellow outlets

Very true. I guess I will be going the route of 2 because I wouldn't want to run my lights 24/7. And I've heard ours good to give the tank a resting time of darkness

Yeah i actually think they are the same just rebranded. Ive seen alot of coralife stuff rebranded as reptile stuff.

Good find, much cheaper.
