That's if you get them as a group. If you get a single then it can be in a much smaller tank. Liveaquaria mentions a 25g for this particular one. However, most anthias like to be in groups.

I plan on getting a custom 60 gallon shallow, so hopefully I'll be able to get him a lady or two. This guy might be comfortable in my 30g so we'll just have to wait and see.

So you ordered a "sunset anthias" (what species is this?) and they sent you a lyretail? Did you let them know of the mixup?

yes but they didn't seem like they wanted anything to do with it really. I don't mind, I find the fish very beautiful and fun to watch.
