Super glue gel with new style dispenser.

I saw RedHonda69's post about Aquamend and the spin off of a discussion on super glue. I thought I would make the super glue part a separate thread so the info I found to be helpful didn't get buried.

Loctite came out with a new style of dispenser for their gel super glue. I found it at HD and Lowes. The pump style dispenser is really a 100% improvement over the older style tubes. No needle needs to be stuck down the applicator tip for storage. Now just give the pump a squeeze and instant gel. I found that I also don't have my fingers covered in glue at all as opposed to very covered when working with tube dispenser just to get the glue out.

This is the product description from Loctite. I couldn't find it on the HD website but they do have it. Below is the link for Lowes.

yup really good dispenser. been using it for about a year now. I think I demonstrated it at a meeting I hosted last year. awsome reminder and new info for noobs.

Target and office depot or max don't remember which sells it as well as the regulare loctite super glue in the same dispencer just red instead of blue like the gel.

Yea I have seen it at home depot. I just don't get it because it is more expensive and you get less glue. It is amazing how big the bottle is and how little glue is in there. Just my opinion on the product.

I think the 4 gram pump bottles are per gram cheaper than the regular 2 g tubes.

Lowes prices:
4 g pump bottle gel - $2.54 Price per gram - $0.635
2 g PITA (pain in the ***) tube gel - $1.68 Price per gram - $0.84

I did look on the Locktite website and they do sell a 4 g PITA tube but I haven't seen it at HD or Lowes.

I have never seen it at HD. But, Target, K-Mart, Ace Hardware, True Value Hardware, are all places I have found it.

I have been using it for a few years now.

humm, well maybe I was mistaken. I just rember reading it at home depot and it seemed for the quantity of glue, and the price it was not a good deal. But my memory is getting bad in my old age (and i am only 20) ;-).
