There is an obvious design difference in the body but the SRO-3000int goes for $415 where as the SRO-XP3000int goes for $590. They both use the same pump so that means they want to charge me $175 more for a different body design.

I don't see how this is even worthwhile and I have objections to buying something that probably has the same amount of material cost for more because it has "XP" slapped in its name and the body is a different shape.

If you were a salesman, why should I by the XP model over the over? After all, they are both rated for the same size tank and use the same pump. :wildone:

Im using the xp5000 and it does a great job but I dont know if its any better than the sro 5000. There is a guy here at RC (mojo) who has run both and says they are about the same. PM him for more details. If I had to do it again I would probably just go with the sro 5000... although it is cool to have the xp in front of it. :D

I like the semi cone bodies over the cone. More volume in the body for contact time. I use the SRO INT's for that reason.

All i can tell is that the cone body has less resistent than the semi cone so you get some better performance but I am thinking it is not worth that difference

Can you elaborate?

How can less volume or diameter have less resistance with the given same amount of force, and provide better performance?

I have read that there is maybe a little better performance from the cone but not worth it considering the price difference. I have the SRO 5000ext and love it.
