Here in Australia, most of us use NSW for water changes. Most Aussies live near the coast and our water is clean. I store enough NSW for about 2 months of water changes and I change about 10% per week.
I was thinking of 'overdosing' NSW while it's in storage with Ca, Alk and Mg so that when I do water changes I am also supplementing. eg, Cal could be raised to 550ppm with Alk and Mg to correspond.
I have a tank of 60 gallons mostly with LPS so the 'hungriest' consumer of Calcium is the coraline. I top off with limewater but it does not meet the needs of the tank.
I am thinking this way rather than setting up a 2 part dosing system. Because I am doing water changes so regularly, I thought this may work.
