Superglue incompetence!

Great! I will try this, thank you everybody. I will try it today and report the results (fingers crossed).

No problem at all, many of us use it for this purpose with great success. Just make sure you superglue, putty, more superglue and stick it on the rock :)

I use 99 cent store gel super glue, they are all the same so I get it as cheap as I can. Any bump to a glued frag can knock it off. Super glue and 2 part frag putty all suck.

I picked up some JB Waterweld, will report when I have results.

I also have (already) a superglue gel Loctite with Cyanoacrylate (the key ingredient from what I understand).

Is the C.A. important because of quick-bonding times, or is it because it is the key ingredient to not leach into the water? The reason I ask - you can get a Gorilla Glue which is a much better bang for the buck than CA/superglues.. I don't mind the bonding times (I can deal with that), but is the CA important because of leaching?? In non-fish-tank experiences I have had with Gorilla glue, the stuff is a fantatic glue...

On another note, the Gorilla glue I am talking about is not the 'super glue Gorilla Glue" (that does contain C.A.) - this is the 20ish ounce GG bottle with applicator. it does not say it contains CA.

I would not use the gorilla glue, cyanoacrylate has been shown to be very reef safe. Gorilla glue is much different and can possibly leach harmful toxins.

ecotec is 50.00 bottle but if you break it down price/size its actually cheaper than 90% of whats out there. its just sold in bulb

Used some CA superglue in conjunction with the JB Waterweld - success! I now have 3 frags hanging on 20-45degree walls secured tight to the rocks.

Thank you all for your help.
