I had that problem on a cap of mine I iodine dipped every other day to kill them off and keep killing the eggs as they hatched I did it for 2 weeks just to make sure I had them all dead.
Iodine is not effective against the montipora nudibranchs. You probably just were diligent enough to beat them. The problem is often people beat the coral and weaken it more.
I'm not sure how to pry it from the rockwork. I tried to lift the cap straight up and broke off a tiny edge. grrr. I am probably going to dremmel the rainbow up. Sorry to steal the whole superman thread here.
Do any of you know if diamond tip dremmel bits go through rock as easy as coral?
Thanks guys. I think I will give it a week so I have time to finish out my schoolwork for the semester and pick off as many as I can at night between now and then. I am only finding 1 or 2 tiny ones now and can't find any eggs but that doesn't mean they aren't there.
The way it has encrusted around the weird rock\plug thing its on makes me believe I can cut it and it might slip off the rock in places.. like its grown around it but not completely onto it in some places so I should be able to come out of this with some healthy frags.
I can at least narrow down the choices those buggers have for munching on my pretties
