Supplement timing?

How long should I wait after dosing 2 part calcium/ alkalinity to add my magnesium supplement? Thanks

I would wait long enough for the supplements to be dispersed throughout the tank. For my little 28g systems, that's about 10 seconds. For a fairly small sump with a lower flow rate, the period might be longer.

Jonathan's answer is correct. Our chemistry issues are often not as subject to "opinion" as might be the case in other forums, so we do not usually pile on unless we have something new to add.

Thanks, that's right just checking if there was other opinions. I thought at one point someone told me to wait several hours after dosing two part to add magnesium supplement, so as not to stress the corals. So if it is ok to dose all three within a few minute period as long as dispersed, well that's great. bertoni, I definately appreciate your help also just wasn't sure about other opinions. Thank you very much.

May one assume that, when using a LiterMeter III, because of the small amounts being dosed at any given moment the questions posed in this thread can be ignored?

Or ... maybe not?

If the dosing rate is low enough, there shouldn't be a problem.
