Supplemental lighting

I am exploring some supplemental lighting to simulate dusk and dawn in the tank. Right now, my new lighting will consist of 4 400w 14k bulbs and I am looking at vho, T5 or power compact. Want to get something set up that the aq III can dim for the dusk and dawn effect. What do you guys suggest?

Did some research and think I will run VHO not T5. Plan on running some bulbs in the front and back of the reflectors on some icecap ballasts and will eventually get some moonlights for a nighttime dimming effect.
