I had heard this will happen on occasion. The anemone has been in the tank for 4 or 5 weeks. Came home today and the smaller clownfish (Which I guess means it's the male since the pair is way more than a year old now) was in the anemone. Its been over an hour and I still see him mainly staying in there. Can I hope that this means he will host in this? Will this maybe encourage the female to go in? Any info from more experienced folks is greatly appreciated. Sorry about the bad Iphone pics.

I've had my gbta and two true percs for around 3 months now, and my clowns want nothing to do with it.

I have 3 pairs, (in 3 tanks), and am at 66.666% success rate with 'nem-clown hosting...just depends on the fish.

i was more surprised that the false perc went into a RBTA.

Might sound crazy, but in my old tank, I had a rose bta and a clown. I waited months and the clown wouldn't host. I read online to print out a picture of a clown (same species) and anemone (same species) hosting and tape it to the glass. I did this and in less than a few days, the clown started hosting.

I did this too and it worked within 15 minutes on my male. About 5 hours later my female joined him.

I tried the picture method, didnt work for my clowns. I swear that they are both retarded. they have this HUGE fluffy anemone in the tank and want NOTHING to do with it.
