Suwanee, GA area Aquarium Service & store

Hi,

I'm interested in setting a tank up again after a few months out of the hobby and a relocation. Anyone know of any good aquarium service companies in the Suwanee, GA area to do the initial setup for me. Also any good LFS would be appreciated.

Im not very close to your location, but Im willing to drive a little while for a really good store. It would probably be about the same distance for you as me to two that I can think of. Try "The Fish Store" in Buckhead, or "The Aquarium Showcase" in Alpharetta. Buckhead is priced appropriately for that area ($$$). If you can drive to Marietta, there is a place called "Cappuccino Bay Aquarium" (also a website, same name). That one is my favorite. Lots of tanks setup for display, small acres of frag corals, and it all seems cheaper than the other places I go. Their website will show you its worth seeing at least once. I think there are a few websites that can do a search for a LFS store in your area.

Capp Bay is AWESOME. I drive 3 hours from Bham to go there. They are in East Cobb on Roswell Road. Worth the trip from Suwanee, IMHO.

I too live in Suwanee. A great guy for setup and/or maintenance is Chris from Atlanta Aquaria. He helped me pickup and setup an existing 210 gallon and didn't lose a fish. You can visit his website @ atlantaaquaria.com

Thanks for the info guys. I'll take a look at all these locations before making a decision.

I was down there last week and visited 2 places off Pleasant Hill in Duluth. I was not impressed so given that you guys know the area I'm sure that they'll be fine.

I agree with the above. Chris is a great guy, great prices too.

You can also try the Atlanta Reef Club, they have a website and the club uses another forum like this.

As far as LFS, they all stink this side of ATL.... Nemo Tropical Fish is a great start up in Lilburn. THe prices are UNREAL!! On the good side, not sure if this is a reflection of the long term quality of the fish or not, but the service and people are great, I hope they turn out to be a legit operation!! I've got two fish from them recently and they are doing very well.

There is another store in loganville, called ocean treasures. THey are really knowledgable, but pricey! I like stopping in there from time to time, always have a good conversation!!

I checked out a store in Lawrenceville and it was rather disappointing. I would definitely check out Capp Bay though. Their selection is amazing...
