I currently have an ATB Elegance 200 and would like to add a Swabbie. My current lid has a hole drilled in it for a float valve. Is this something you can drill into your lid with the swabbie?
I love it. It skims much better and much quieter than my old skimmer that had a Sicce PSK 2500. I also love the fact that I can take it apart and the quality is amazing
Yes, drilling the hole for the float valve is relatively easy. If you'd like us to do it, I'll need the exact hole dimension. Our lid is PVC, so drilling is very forgiving if you want to do it yourself. I'd recommend a step bit (e.g., Unibit) if a large hole, or just a series of increasing drill bits and some sandpaper to finish out the precise size if a small hole.
