fmellish has a sweet setup. I haven't noticed him on the boards lately but I think he has his stuff up on a blog somewhere.
Nothing fancy, but I built a small wooden stand to which I mounted my AquaController Jr and my ballasts, etc. It hides the clutter very well. Much to the joy of my wife, I have also managed to hide all of my cleaning/test kits/tank stuff from view in a closet that is through the wall behind the tank
Change the drop down to December 2005, and you can see his wiring setup. He has many pics of what he did along with text. I hope he doesn't mind me posting a couple here...
This pic includes the sub-panel circuit breaker box, 8 circuit outlets, three DJ switch boxes, three DC-8's for the Aquacontroller, one of the WavySea controllers and the Aquacontroller
This is a close up of the sub-panel circuit breaker box and the eight circuit outlets. The 15 AMP breaker box shows five circuits. THe other three circuits are wired to the main electrical breaker box in the utility room. Each of the DJ switch boxes and the DC-8 boxes plugs into one of the circuit outlets. If you look close enough you can see the label for the corresponding box and circuit outlet.
This is a close up of the three DC-8 boxes that I have daisy chained together and connected to the Aquacontroller II. They are each labeled with their corresponding address code for the ACII.
Each circuit outlet goes into a 15 AMP dedicated circuit breaker therefore, we opted not to use GFCI on each outlet because we thought it would be redundant.
