Anyone know where I can pick up some spring check valves? All I can find at Lowes are spring check valves.

Thanks!

Kevin

What???

Do you mean where can you get some check valves because all Lowe's has is Ball Valves?

I've always gotten mine online from Marine Depot. They are not fail proof, so also take other defensive measures... (hole to break siphon)

The overflow returns are about 3" below the water line in this tank. The sump can't hold the water that drains to get to the water level down to that point. However I have modified the output from the return and raised it up above the waterline so I don't need the check valves anymore (and of course added siphon break holes to the modification). The water was draining from the main tank through the return not being siphoned.

Should have this 240 gallon fish only tank up and running pretty soon! Probably start mixing saltwater today.
